at École Méliès
The École Georges Méliès offers four programs in the visual-media sector: a one-year Fine Arts Preparatory Class; a five-year Animated Image Designer program (Stop-Motion, 2D and 3D); a five-year Cinema & New Technologies program (live-action filmmaking, real-time VFX, virtual and augmented reality); and a 12-month Professional Program in Virtual Production Supervision. The two five-year curricula are interconnected and lead to joint, cross-disciplinary projects.

To join our Prep, you must pass a motivation interview and hold the baccalaureate, as well as have solid general and artistic knowledge, skills in applied arts, and an open mindset.
At the end of this year, depending on your level, you may enter Year 1 of Animated Image Artisan or Cinema & New Technologies Artisan.

1st test: creative assignment (at home)
Upon registration, the theme is emailed to you. You have 8 days to produce a free-form piece on this theme: video, photo series, photo-novel, clip, film excerpt, etc. (max 2 min). The goal is to assess creativity, not technical quality.
