Frederick ALVES CUNHA
Character Sculptor
Frédérick ALVES-CUNHA, also known as “FREDUS,” is a French character development artist who has been working in the animation industry for over ten years. Graduated from one of the top French animation film schools the Georges Méliès School, he has worked for most of the major studios, notably as a digital character sculptor for Illumination Entertainment. He has also worked as a character art director for Mikros Animation and Superprod Animation.
His passions for sculpture and cartoons naturally led him to pursue character creation, making it his specialty.
Alongside his full-time career in animation, he enjoys drawing and sculpting characters in a traditional manner.
When Frédérick is not at the Parisian studios, he lives peacefully in the Picardy countryside with his family, his small workshop, and his vegetable garden!
