Geoffrey Bourrissoux
Illumination MacGuff – Class of 2015
Passionate about images from a very young age, Geoffrey Bourrissoux first trained as a computer engineer at EFREI, then as an Animated Image Artisan at École Méliès.
He is interested in ways of conveying information, whether through immersive systems, augmented reality or image compositing.
In his spare time, Geoffrey works as a photographer and freelance videographer on concerts, photo shoots and film sets. The video projects he has worked on can be viewed on his dedicated page.
Between 2012 and 2014, he worked for the company SolidAnim on several shoots, helping to implement their augmented reality tool SolidTrack. This tool was notably deployed on The Walk by Robert Zemeckis and on Alice in Wonderland 2.
His assignments have taken him to Liverpool, Swansea, Montreal and Los Angeles, and he is particularly fond of Anglo-Saxon culture.
Geoffrey joined the Illumination Mac Guff studio in 2015 and has worked on projects such as Sing, Despicable Me 3, The Grinch and The Secret Life of Pets 2.
