2D and 3D animator, character designer, and storyboard artist, Yoshi Tamura has built an international career.
He has worked for Disney and DreamWorks on films such as Hercules (1997), Tarzan (1999), Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), The Jungle Book 2 (2003), Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003), Shark Tale (2004), Over the Hedge (2006), Flushed Away (2006), and The Princess and the Frog (2009).
As Animation Director on the feature film Zarafa, he received the “Best in Show Award” at SIGGRAPH 2012 for his film Reflexion. In 2019, Yoshi supervised animation on the film Klaus at Sergio Pablos Animation Studio. Yoshi Tamura regularly teaches at the École Méliès and works closely with the students.
