About École Méliès

Founded in 1999 by its director general Franck Petitta, École Méliès is an arts school dedicated to the crafts of animation, cinema, visual effects and immersive technologies. Located in Orly, in the heart of Greater Paris, the school stands alongside the Parc Georges Méliès, the memorial site where the pioneer of fantasy cinema and visual effects spent his final years.

By bearing his name, the school pays tribute to the visionary legacy of Georges Méliès while training the image-makers of tomorrow, capable of combining creativity, craft and innovation.
